Why did I build this?
Hi, I’m Sharisse. For over 10 years, I’ve been teaching and sharing calligraphy through Instagram, YouTube, workshops online and in-person, and countless one-on-one sessions.
And my favorite part has never been the follower count, the signups, or the viral posts.
It’s been you.
It’s watching someone pick up a brush pen for the first time and fall in love with it the way I did. Helping a beginner figure out a tricky letter connection. Hearing that a student just completed her first custom piece – and even got paid for it!
Those moments are what have always made this so meaningful for me.
But over the years, social media has become noisier, more distracting, and harder to navigate. Alogrithms, trends, and the constant pressure to create can make something that should feel joyful feel like work.
And I kept thinking:
What if there were a place where we could just create?
A place to learn together, try new things, share our work without fear of judgment, ask questions, get feedback, and cheer each other on.
So I built it.
This Community is a private space for calligraphy students who want more connection, encouragement, and creative inspiration – without all the noise.
No algorithms. No distractions. No pressure to perform.
Just calligraphy, creativity, learning, and a community of people who get it.

A few things you might be wondering
I’ve already taken a workshop / class. What else will I get?
Whether you want to review the material or continue learning more, this will be a safe and supportive space to truly refine your calligraphy and go beyond your skills. If you fall off or get behind, you’ll be in the perfect spot to start back up again from wherever you left off.
Do I need experience to join?
Not at all. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush pen or you’ve been lettering for years, there’s a place for you here.
How often are the live sessions?
At least live workshops and one critique session every month – three live touch points, plus the community space and monthly challenges in between.
Will I be able to catch replays if I miss a live session?
Yes, always. Every workshop and critique session goes into the replay library so you can watch on your own time.
What if I don’t have a lot of time to practice?
That’s OK! The great thing about this space is you can go as fast or as slow as you’d like. I will always provide bite-sized practice ideas and options for those with especially busy schedules. Being a busy working mom myself, I value setting realistic goals and expectations, and we can do that together.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There’s no lock-in contract, just a monthly membership you can leave whenever it’s no longer right for you.
What if it’s not what I expected?
